Head of Hamas’s Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, confirmed the need to proceed with the faithful implementation of the reconciliation agreement and to face any challenges that may arise in the national unity.

This came during a call Haniyeh made, Monday afternoon, to the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Abu Al-Gheit, to talk about  the reconciliation agreement signed in Egypt.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Arab League praised the agreement and the role of Cairo in achieving it, stressing that the Palestinian issue is the core and that the road towards unity shall direct  the internal Palestinian  affair to success

He added, “The Palestinians have one goal,  to establish a Palestinian state and achieve national independence, which they must all work for, and the reconciliation will support these national efforts”.
