The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas condemned the Israeli occupation's cabinet meeting in tunnels underneath the Buraq Wall as a serious escalation of the religious war waged by the Israeli occupation against occupied Jerusalem.

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem has reiterated that the Israeli Judaisation schemes to be approved in the meeting "are intended to alter the occupied Palestinian capital's identity".

Qassem made it clear that the Palestinian people would continue to resist the Israeli occupation and defend occupied Jerusalem's Arab identity.
