Hamas official Basem Naim has welcomed the statements made by Caroline Gennez against the Israeli occupation’s crimes, especially those committed against Palestinian children.

Minister Gennez said that 2023 is considered the “bloodiest year in a long time in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”

In a press statement, the Hamas official said that these remarks are “in line with the facts about the situation in Palestine that are confirmed in UN reports.”

Naim explained that the Israeli occupation leaders’ fury over these statements reflects the fear of those leaders and their "attempts to keep the Israeli occupation's crimes away from the international public opinion."

Hamas called on the international community to take practical measures immediately to stop Israeli crimes and ensure holding Israeli occupation leaders accountable for crimes and violations against the Palestinian people, land, and sacred places.
