The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has called on social media activists worldwide to confront and reject Meta's policies that are biased towards the Israeli occupation. 

Member of Hamas Political Bureau Abroad Hisham Qasem condemned the blackout imposed by social media giants on the content exposing the Israeli occupation's policies and aggression against the Palestinian people. 

On Friday, Al-Jazeera's investigative series, Tip of the Iceberg, revealed that Facebook removes Palestinian and Arab content condemning the Israeli occupation. 

In a press statement Saturday, Qasem stressed that such efforts prove that social media companies are complicit in combatting the Palestinian and Arab content online while allowing anti-Arab Hebrew content to go unpunished.  

The Hamas official stressed that such findings confirm that the Israeli occupation spares no effort to undermine the Palestinian content on social media under false pretexts.
