Issued by the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas"

Hamas expresses its rejection of American attempts of blackmail and its biased remarks in favour of Israeli as expressed by US President Donald Trump’s Middle East Peace Envoy Jason Greenblatt. The movement regards this as a blatant interference in internal Palestinian affairs aimed at hindering the reconciliation agreement.  

Greenbalt had earlier announced that if Hamas wishes to be a part of the Palestinian government, it must adhere to the Quartet principles to recognize the state of Israel, disarm, commit to non-violence and to peaceful negotiations.

Hamas asserts that it is moving ahead with the implementation of all reconciliation steps and will not be deviated from its path by any sabotage attempts.
