The delegation of Hamas headed by the deputy of the head of the Political Bureau , Saleh Al Arouri met with a number of  Iranian officials in Tehran on Sunday

The delegation met with the Iranian Parliament Speaker , Ali Larijani , the Secretary of  Iran’s Supreme National Security Council , Admiral Ali Shamkhani and Advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran ,Ali Akbar Velayati

Al Arouri assured that the  visit to Tehran practically a  rejection   of the Israeli conditions to cut off relations with Iran.

During his meetings with Iranian officials, Al Arouri affirmed that Hamas will not abandon defending the rights of the Palestinian people and their resistance. He also asserted that any understanding or reconciliation will not affect the arms and the approach of the resistance.

He pointed out that Hamas is working hard for the success of the Palestinian reconciliation and the reunification of its people in order to confront the Israeli  plots.  Al Arouri emphasized that Hamas adheres to all relations  that support resistance in facing and ending the occupation . .

He added, “We are looking to strengthen our relation will all countries and parties that provide assistance and support for our people in confronting the Israeli Occupation either by supporting the reconciliation and Palestinian internal affairs or supporting resistance.”

Statements by Iranian officials

On his part, Larijani stated that Iran will remain the supporter of Hamas, the Palestinian factions and the Palestinian people adding that the Israeli attempts to destabilize and control the region have not succeeded

In turn, Velayati stressed that Iran wants to prove to the Israeli Occupation that the relationship between Iran and the Palestinian resistance represented by Hamas and Islamic Jihad is a strategic relation and one that will not be  cut off  at all, and that, contrary to Israeli wished,  Iran’s support will increase day by day.

He continued, “We are proud of supporting the Palestinian resistance and Hamas Movement. The Iranian leadership and our  people  will continue to support the resistance led by Hamas and Islamic Jihad.”

Velayati concluded that they are confident that Hamas will protect the rights of the Palestinian people and it will not abandon  the Palestinian fundamental issues, resistance and arms.
