The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, organized Friday a demonstration in Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip to mark the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration.

The demonstration, which included thousands of citizens from Al-Awda Mosque in the center of the camp, marched through the streets of the camp, and demonstrators waved banners condemning Britain's historic role in the suffering of the Palestinian people.

The leader of the Hamas movement, Mohammed Abu Askar, said that this Declaration, no matter how many years have passed, will not change history, because the historic and legitimate citizens of Palestine are Muslim, Christian and Jewish Palestinians.

Abu Askar stressed that the Palestinian people will continue to defend their land by using all means of resistance, which were approved by international treaties, charters and laws.
