A delegation from the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, headed by member of the political bureau of the movement, Izzat Al-Rishq, met on Wednesday with the Secretary General of the Islamic Group in Lebanon, Azzam al-Ayoubi, at the group’s  centre in Beirut.

During the meeting, Al-Rishq stressed Hamas's keenness on internal Lebanese stability, particularly the stability in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.

The politburo member also briefed the Secretary General of the Islamic Group on the Palestinian reconciliation and the stages that have been achieved and the challenges it faces, stressing Hamas’s sincere will to achieve it. 

For his part, the Secretary General praised the steps taken towards achieving the Palestinian reconciliation, describing it as a mean to unite and bolster the Palestinian defences in the face of the Israeli Occupation.
