Head of Hamas’s political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, expressed his sincere condolences to both the Iraqi and Iranian Presidents  in the aftermath of the deadly earthquake that hit the Iraq-Iran region on Monday.

“We received the devastating  news with great pain and sadness, and we in Hamas extend our deepest condolences to the families of those affected ”, Haniyeh said.

He continued, “We ask Allah, the all mighty, to heal the victims and grant them patience during these hard times”.

More than 200 were killed and 1700 others injured in one of the worst natural disasters to hit the two countries.
