Head of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Al-SInwar, said the achievement of a national reconciliation is irreversible, indicating that the continued political division solely serves the interest of the Israeli Occupation.
"The division has formed a dark chapter in the history of our people, and it’s time to turn that page over and achieve a national reconciliation”.
He pointed out that the national project is in a vulnerable position due to the influence of major forces aiming to liquidate the Palestinian cause, adding, “If the Palestinian people can’t reconcile now, all schemes to settle the cause will succeed and regret will sweep over the Palestinian people for disregarding this historical opportunity to unite”.
Al-Sinwar pointed out that the Palestinian people have the capabilities and the will to impose their agenda and rights in local, regional and international levels.
“All our people are required to place pressure on all parties taking part in the upcoming Cairo talks to reach a genuine reconciliation and reach a national partnership that will contribute to the freedom of our people”.
He explained that the reconciliation is not only a faction-based matter, but also concerns every Palestinian citizen.
