Issued by the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas"

Commenting on what was stated in the closing statement of the emergency Arab foreign ministers meeting:

We in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), confirm the following:

First: Hamas strongly rejects the designation of the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah,  as a terrorist organization and such a description should solely be handed down onto the Israeli Occupation which has committed countless crimes against the defenceless Palestinian people. 

Second, we were shocked to see that the joint Arab statement was free from referring and designating the Israeli Occupation and its crimes as terror acts, which have become an everyday reality for Palestinians and holy sites. 

Third, Hamas believes that now is the time to unite all the efforts and capabilities of the Arab and Islamic nations in the face of the Israeli Occupation, and help the Palestinian people to regain their rights and liberate Palestine.

Fourth, Hamas considers that any uncalled escalations in the region outside the framework of unity will only divide the Middle East  apart, ultimately serving the agenda of the Israeli Occupation.  

Fifth,  Hamas calls upon the Arab states to support the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people against the Israeli Occupation and to strengthen its steadfastness on its soil. It also calls for the need to resolve the differences in the Arab region through mutual understanding and dialogue.
