A senior delegation of Hamas headed by Maher Salah, the head of Hamas outside Palestine met onTuesday the Malaysian Prime Minister, Muhammad Najeeb Bin Abed Al Raziq.
At the invitation of the UMNO, the Malaysia's largest political party, to participate in the annual conference of the party, Hamas delegation including member of the Politburo, Ezat Al Rashq and Osama Hamdan arrived in Malaysia on Tuesday.
It reviewed the latest developments of the Palestinian cause in light of Donald Trump’s decision, to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and emphasized that this issue calls for a decisive Islamic and Arab stand.
The delegation assured that Hamas rejects the American decision which provokes the feeling of the Islamic nation and the free people of the world. It stressed that the Palestinian people with all their factions and parties will confront this decision by all possible means.
The delegation also briefed the Malaysian leadership on Hamas’s firm position and the steps taken to achieve the Palestinian reconciliation.
The delegation also discussed the situation of Gaza under siege and potential means of support pointing out the need to strengthen the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the occupied land and in the refugee camps outside Palestine.
The members of the delegation expressed their satisfaction with the level of the bilateral relations assuring the need to strengthen and develop these relations.
It is worth noting that the visit of the Hamas delegation comes as part of its participation in the annual general conference of the ruling party “ UMNO “ on the seventy-first anniversary of its establishment.
