The Islamic Resistance Movement ”Hamas” announced Wednesday the launch of the its first international conference entitled “ Hamas in its 30^th year, reality and hopes”  during a press conference at Commodore Hotel, west of Gaza.

The member of the Politburo of Hamas, Attallah Abu Al Sebah urged the scientists, researchers and authors to write  conference papers for the conference adding “Your studies will be a great intellectual wealth for the generations”.

He pointed out that these studies and researches will guide the future generations for the liberation of the entire land of Palestine. Abu Sebah called on the writers and researchers to adhere to the objectives and goals of the conference so their papers are written according to the required conditions and determinants.

Objectives of the Conference

During the press conference, Abo Sebah briefed a set of objectives; to identify the evolution of the organizational structure of Hamas, the stages of the development of  its religious message, political and media discourses and how  Hamas benefited from the popular, student and union works.

The conference aims at pointing out the role of women young people, identifying the experience of Hamas before and after governance, highlighting the military development and the movement’s relations with the Arab and foreign countries.

For his part, the member of the Politburo of Hamas, Fathi Hammad, briefed the audience on the main experiences of Hamas since its founding in 1987 and highlighted the main challenges that Hamas faced.

Hammad stated that the conference will study the past, the present and the future of Hamas to provide a critical and analytical vision in all fields for the sake of  improving and enhancing its performance in the future. 

Hamas confirmed that the submission deadline of summaries is Wednesday, 7-2-2018 and the deadline for responses is Wednesday  21-2-2018.

And the deadline for receipt of full researches is Wednesday 6-6-2018 and the date to respond to the researches is Wednesday 4-7-2018.

The scheduled date to announce the conference agenda is 29-8-2018 and the conference will be held on 18/19-9-2018.

Abu Sebah concluded that the conference includes seven main topics; the ideology and religious message, political, military and security angles, the role of Hamas in serving and development of society the development of the media discourse, women’s role in Hamas, and the experience of Hamas in prisons and exile.
