Head of Hamas’s Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, said the US administration must comply with the international resolution, and to  withdraw its decision which recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of the Israeli Occupation.

In a press statement on Thursday evening, Haniyeh praised the position of the countries that voted in favour of Palestinian rights, saying that the vote of the UN General Assembly will  be recorded in history as a victory for Palestinian rights.

Haniyeh said that these countries reflected the will of free people around the world that reject America’s hegemony and its methods of political bullying. “The language of threat no longer works against rights and the principles are stronger than interests”, he concluded.
