In the conference titled " Tawasel", the member at Hamas political bureau, Khaled Mishael delivered a speech in which he praised the supportive Mauritanian stances towards the just Palestinian cause, referring to the latest decision taken by the Mauritanian state to cut relations with the Israeli Occupation.
During the visit, Mishael met with the Mauritanian president, Mohammed Weld Abdel Aziz and expressed the Palestinians' greetings to the president and his people.
Mishael expresses how much his movement is proud to pay this first visit to Mauritania, noting that he noticed the great solidarity movement by both the official and public sides in Mauritania towards the Palestinian cause.
The visit shed light on the central issue of Jerusalem and both sides reiterated their stances that Jerusalem is a core issue for all Arabs and Muslims, calling for swift and serious actions to back the city and the unique steadfastness of its people. They underlined the need to exert efforts in this respect to put the American administration under pressure to retract its latest controversial decision of recognizing Jerusalem a capital for the Jewish state.
