A delegation of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, headed by the former head of the Political Bureau, Khaled Meshaal, concluded a two-day visit to the Kingdom of Morocco following an invitation from the leadership of the Justice and Development Party.
The movement said in a press statement that the delegation met with the head of the party, the head of the Moroccan government, Dr. Saad Eddin Othmani and members of parliament.
The delegation also met with the leaders of the Progressive Socialist Party, the PAS, the Independent Party, the Socialist Union Party and the leadership of the Unification and Reform movement in addition to the national working groups supporting the Palestinian cause.
For his part, Khaled Meshaal expressed his thanks and admiration to His Majesty, King Mohammed VI, for the Moroccan democratic experience and his country’s supportive stance towards the Palestinian issue, particularly following the recent decision by the US administration which declared Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
