Hamas leader and previous member of its political bureau, Imad Al-Alami was critically injured today morning when a bullet penetrated his head while he was checking his pistol.

The spokesperson of Hamas, Fawzi Barhoum said in a press release that the incident left Al-Alami in critical health condition.

It is noteworthy to say that Al-Alami was Hamas’s  representative in Iran and the deputy head of the former political bureau.

Al-Alami was previously injured during the Israeli aggression on Gaza in 2014 when an Israeli raid targeted his home, and one of his feet was amputated.
