An “illegal” Israeli occupation court adjourned on Tuesday the trial of Palestinian teenage activist Ahed Tamimi from the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian teenage, who was abducted by the Israeli occupation forces from her home on 19 December, 2017, stood before Israeli judges in a closed courtroom.

Her Jewish lawyer Gaby Lasky accused the court of wishing to hide the proceedings of the “illegal” court from a watching world, stressing that was against the wishes of her family.

She reiterated that the Israeli court did not want to have an “international eye” inside the courtroom.

Israeli occupation did not want witnesses to let the world know what is happening with the Palestinian children inside the Israeli courts.

The Israeli court, which looked into Ahed Tamimi’s case, is illegal; therefore, all the proceedings regarding the case of the Palestinian girl are illegal.

Keeping this little girl inside prison is a flagrant violation of the international law as under the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the arrest, detention or imprisonment of a child must be used only as a measure of last resort and for the shortest appropriate period of time.
