Execution of Palestinian man Yassin al-Saradeeh, 33, after he was abducted by Israeli occupation forces “is new crime added to the record” of Israeli occupation against Palestinian prisoner.

In a press release, senior Hamas official Abdel-Rahman Shadid said: “The Israeli occupation commits the worst crimes against our people, prisoners and against our homeland in a flagrant violation of the international law.”

He added: “Executing Al-Saradeeh is a new crime added to record of the Israeli occupation,” noting that it raised the number of the Palestinian prisoners killed inside Israeli prisons to 213.

Shadid also said that Al-Saradeeh's “execution by the Israeli occupation forces is a clear testimony of the Israeli hostility towards the Palestinians. This underlines the horrible Israeli occupation crimes against our people and prisoners.”

In the light of the continuous Israeli aggression on the Palestinian prisoners, Shadid called for all the free people, as well as the national and international legal and humanitarian organisations to stand beside the Palestinian prisoners and support their issue.

He noted that the Palestinian prisoners “are victims of the illegal and violent practices of the Israel occupation.”

Concluding his press release, he called for the formation of an international fact-finding mission to investigate the case of al-Saradeeh’s “execution” to take the Israeli occupation to the international courts.
