Marking International Women’s Day, Hamas women movement organised massive demonstration in Gaza Strip against US President Donald Trump’s move on Jerusalem.
Large numbers of Palestinian women responded to Hamas call to take to the streets of Gaza to demonstrate against Trump’s recognition that Jerusalem is the capital of the Israeli occupation state.
The Palestinian women also voiced out their support with the holy Palestinian city, stressing that it would remain the capital of Palestine for ever.
Head of Hamas Women Movement Rajaa al-Halaby addressing the demonstrators, saying: “The International Women’s Day is different for the Palestinian woman.”
She added: “The Palestinian woman has her own day which is coloured with the blood of martyrs, who are killed by the Israeli occupation, suffering of mothers, who are facing harsh treatment behind Israeli jails, and moaning of children chased by the Israeli occupation soldiers.”
Al-Halaby stressed that the Palestinian woman “does not accept Trump’s move on Jerusalem and will never concede the right to maintain the holy city as genuine part of Palestine.”
Concluding her speech, Al-Halaby said that the Palestinian woman “will for ever remain standing beside the Palestinian man in resisting the Israeli occupation along with any threats lying ahead of the Palestinian cause.
