The Palestinians Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas hailed on Sunday remarks of former Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams, who called on Irish government to expel Israeli ambassador.

In a press release, Hamas called on the Europeans to follow Adams' footsteps, as well as to take measures to end the sufferings of the Palestinians and the daily Israeli violations against them.

Hamas also called on the international community to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its war crimes against the Palestinians and to end the suffering the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which has been under more than a decade-long Israeli blockade.

Adams, who holds a seat in the Irish parliament, had urged the European Union and the United Nations to take action against the Israeli violence which targeted the peaceful Palestinian protesters in the Great March of Return.

The Irish party also called to take action against the Israeli occupation for blockading more than two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and depriving them from their basic needs of life.
