Iranian Foreign Minister Mohamed Javad Zarif phone called Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh and discussed the latest political developments.

Both leaders discussed the Israeli violence against the peaceful Great March of Return and the unarmed participants, who went out to express their right to return to their homes and achieve the Palestinian national rights.

Haniyeh told Zarif to pass his message to the tripartite summit being held in Turkey, which brings Iran, Turkey and Russia around the table.

He asked Mr Zarif that he is hopeful that the Palestinian issue takes part of the discussions by the leaders of the three aforementioned countries.

Haniyeh mainly stressed on discussing the Israeli crimes, the formation of an international investigation committee, lifting the Israeli siege on Gaza, and supporting the Palestinians rights and principles, mainly the right to return and create an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Meanwhile, Zarif reiterated the steadfast stance of his country towards the Palestinian people, their national issue and their just rights.

Zarif also stressed that he would pass Haniyeh’s message to the leaders meeting in Istanbul, as well as to work on achieving the demands of the Palestinian people.
