Head of Hamas in the Gaza Strip Yahya Sinwar said on Friday that Gaza will never surrender to the Israeli Occupation nor abandon the national plight.

During his participation in the Great March of Return near the eastern borders of Gaza, Sinwar reiterated his movement’s full support for the March as a form of popular resistance.

“We are following the lead of the late Palestinian leader Yassir Arafat in resisting the Israeli Occupation”, he said.

He reiterated: “We will continue resisting the Israeli Occupation until the liberation of our homeland.”

Sinwar also said that Hamas will continue to raise an olive branch in one hand and the freedom fighter’s gun in the other.

Hamas leader also said that “Gaza will not surrender to the pressure directed towards it,” noting that if more pressure was put on Gaza, “it will explode in the face of Israeli Occupation”.

“Today, we took to the borders to convey a message to the world that the free people of Gaza will continue their peaceful demonstrations,” Sinwar concluded.
