Hamas delegation, headed by Hamas Political Bureau Member Izzat al-Rishiq, has discussed with the Lebanese President Michel Aoun the latest developments of the Palestinian cause.

"Hamas briefed the Lebanese President with the latest developments of the Palestinian cause amidst preparation to hold the Arab Summit in Saudi Arabia next week," Al-Rishiq said in a press release on Wednesday.

"We discussed with the Lebanese leader the latest developments in the wake of Trump's decisions about Jerusalem and the slashing of UNRWA funding, which threatens the Palestinian refugee issue," Al-Rishiq added.

In the aftermath of so-called 'Deal of the Century', Hamas demanded "Bold Arab positions towards the Palestinians' rights including the right to return, resist the occupation, and the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital."

The delegation also informed Aoun about the peaceful Great March of Return, which is a creative form of popular resistance to reiterate the Palestinians' right to return to their lands.

Aoun was also updated on Egypt's efforts to heal the Palestinian internal division and the positive steps taken by Hamas to achieve a reconciliation since the disablement of the administrative committee.
