The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas called on Thursday for Palestinians to support the Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails.
"Supporting the prisoners is a national duty and we must help them regain their freedom from Israeli captivity", Hamas leader in the West Bank and former Prisoners’ Minister, Wasfi Kabha, said in a press release.
Kabha called for organising events and activities to raise awareness about the prisoners' issue.
He noted that administrative detainees have escalated their action two months of boycotting the Israeli courts due to the Israeli refusal to respond to their legitimate demands.
"A prisoner has the right to be indicted based on a list of charges not based on a secret investigation as the Israeli occupation deals with the Palestinians,” Kabha said, noting that what is being done by the Israeli occupation.
He stressed on the need to support the prisoners to confront the Israeli occupation's negligence of the dangers posed to the hunger-strikers.
The senior Hamas leader held the media and the Palestinian Authority responsible for failing the prisoners, reiterating that supporting them is a national duty.
