Hamas praised on Thursday the position of UN human rights experts who condemned use of lethal force by Israeli occupation to disperse peaceful Palestinian demonstrators taking part in the Great March of Return at eastern Gaza borders.

In a statement, the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas said that it stands by the demands of the international experts who are calling for an international fact-finding mission to probe the crimes and violations of the Israeli occupation against the peaceful Palestinian protestors.

“This condemnation and the demand of establishing an international fact-finding mission to look into Israeli crimes is an important step to show the truth and expose the Israeli occupation and its crimes and injustices it has inflicted on the Palestinian people,” the movement said.

“Such condemnations must be followed with comprehensive steps to indict the Israeli occupation and bring its leaders to stand before the international courts”.

Hamas also praised the UN experts for demanding an end to the Israeli siege has been imposed on the Gaza Strip for over a decade.
