Israeli demolition of Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails reinforces steadfastness of Palestinians, member of Hamas Political Bureau Musa Dodeen said on Tuesday.

Commenting on the Israeli demolition of the house of the Palestinian prisoner inside Israeli jails Ahmed al-Qumba, Dodeen said that this “enhances the Palestinian defiance of the Israeli occupation policies.”

Dodeen noted that the demolition of houses of Palestinians prisoners and martyrs is a “collective punishment” and at the same time “it does not provide security to the Israeli occupation.”

“Such punitive measures rather increase the Palestinians' resilience to continue rejecting the Israeli occupation and fighting to regain their fundamental rights,” he added.

“Throughout the conflict with the Israeli occupation, out people proved that the Israeli policy of house demolition will not influence the Palestinians' determination to continue their resistance,” he stressed.

The Hamas leader called for the Palestinians to unite behind the Palestinian resistance and help reconstruct the houses demolished by the Israeli occupation.
