“Sending a medical convoy with some aid is an insufficient step compared with the catastrophic conditions the health sector is going through in the Gaza Strip,” Hamas Spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum said.

In a press release on Tuesday, Barhoum added: "This step taken by minister of health in Ramallah does not meet the needs of thousands of patients who are in dire need for medical treatment inside the coastal enclave and abroad."  

Hamas called on the Palestinian ministry of health to bear its responsibility towards the Palestinians in Gaza and lift the imposed punitive measures.
