The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas condemns in the strongest of terms the British Crown Prince’s planned participation in Israeli celebration marking 70th anniversary of establishment of Israeli occupation state.

By his participation in the Israeli event, Prince Charles turns a blind eye to the displacement and deportation of the Palestinian people through heinous attacks perpetrated by Zionist gangs in 1948 and initially given the green light by the government of his own British country.

His participation will prove the British continuous complicity with the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the indigenous people of Palestine since the signing of the Balfour Declaration in 1917 till this day.

This shameful participation will also encourage the Israeli occupation to continue its crimes, massacres and violations against the people of Palestine. This gives the Israeli occupation the sense that it is backed by the British crown.

Hamas calls on the Crown Prince to cancel his participation in order not to cause more pain for the people of Palestine and amend the historical mistake of the Balfour Declaration, which caused the Nakba.

The Islamic Palestinian Movement also calls upon the great people of Britain to reject and pressure the Prince to rescind his decision and to organise protests highlighting the Palestinian Nakba during the designated celebration of the establishment of the occupation state of Israel.
