"Following an invitation from senior Egyptian officials, a senior leadership delegation from Hamas left the Gaza Strip on Sunday morning for a short visit to Cairo," Hamas spokesperson, Fawzi Barhoum, said.

In a press release issued on Sunday, Barhoum added, "the delegation headed by Hamas chief, Ismail Haniyeh, will discuss the latest developments concerning Palestinian and regional matters."
