In a press release issued on Wednesday, Hamas, described Danny Danon’s statements at the UN Security Council as “fabricated and misleading”.

Following a UNSC meeting held on Tuesday to look into the massacre perpetrated by the Israeli Occupation against Palestinian citizens in Gaza, the Palestinian resistance movement said, “the representative of the Israeli Occupation is trying to cover up the on-going crimes of his country  against innocent Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.”

“Instead of recognizing the truth and taking responsibility for the crimes carried out by Israel, Danon tried to use fabrication and deception to accuse Hamas and its leaders of violence and terrorism to justify the Occupation’s crimes and terrorist acts.”  

The movement stressed that the international community must put an end to these crimes, and force the Israeli Occupation to lift the unjust siege on Gaza.

"Every day goes on without an end to this crisis in sight and as previously mentioned by the United Nations, Gaza will be unliveable in 2020”. “An explosion due to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is imminent to happen and it will affect everyone,” the movement stressed.

Hamas pointed out that the Palestinians in Gaza headed towards the border fence to protest peacefully and demand their right to return, break the siege and live a decent life.

“If the Israeli Occupation continues to not respect our people’s protest or show restraint and commits more crimes, we will be forced to retaliate with full force,” the resistance movement concluded.
