Head of Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, sent a message to Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following the Israeli Occupation's massacre of peaceful Palestinians civilians participating in the Great March of Return.

In the message, Hanyia praised Turkey's stance against the Israeli massacre, its decision to expel the Israeli ambassador, and its initiative to urge the Arab and Islamic leaders to support the Palestinian cause, including the Jerusalem issue.

Haniyeh called on the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul to take decisions capable of defying the challenges and dangers posed to Palestine, Jerusalem, and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He hoped that the decisions made in the emergency meeting of  the OIC would amount to the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people throughout their history in defending their homeland and holy sites on behalf of the Islamic nations.

Hamas’ chief also called for taking decisive and firm stances to put an end to the blatant U.S. bias towards the Israeli schemes to occupy and Judaize Jerusalem, as well as to set up an Islamic, Arab front to protect Palestine and prevent the dangers posed to its cause.

He reiterated the necessity of the OIC's opposition of all decisions undermining the Palestinians' rights and constants, the foremost among them is the U.S. decision about Jerusalem, and its rejection of all attempts by some countries to follow the U.S. administration's policy towards the Palestinian cause.
