Regarding UN Human Rights Council decision

Hamas appreciates the decision of the UN Human Rights Council on Friday, May 18  to send a team of international investigators to investigate war crimes and violence perpetrated by the Israeli Occupation against the people of Gaza while taking part in the Great March of Return in recent days .The Movement also praises the positions of all the UN Member States that voted in favor of this resolution, including the position of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Prince Zeid bin Ra'ad al-Hussein, in which he harshly criticized the Israeli Occupation for killing unarmed Palestinian civilians and condemning the horrific crimes committed in Gaza against civilians as well as demanding an end to the Israeli Occupation.

The Movement also considers this decision and these positions an important step to exposing the reality of the occupation, and exposing the extent of the injustice that has befallen the Palestinian people and the ongoing crimes and violations committed by Israel. The movement also calls on the international community, international institutions and the International Criminal Court to hold the Zionist entity accountable for these crimes and violations and to stand and express support for the oppressed Palestinian people.
