The head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh called the Emir of Kuwait Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah on Tuesday evening.
Haniyeh praised Kuwait's stance in the UN Security Council and the Emir's speech at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul, as well as the Kuwaiti people's support to the Palestinian people.
"This reflects the Kuwait's constant stances on the Palestinian people and their national cause and shows its support to the Great March of Return," Haniyeh confirmed.
He assured the Kuwaiti Emir that the Palestinians are sticking to Jerusalem, their right to return to their homeland and found their independent state, and their demand to break the 11-year siege imposed by the Israeli Occupation on Gaza.
His Highness, on the other hand, reiterated the importance of the Palestinian cause to the Kuwaiti government and people.
"What affects you affects us and what interests you interests us," the Kuwaiti Emir said adding that, "We will support the Great March of Return until you achieve your long-sought-after demands."
The Kuwaiti Emir noted that the world stands along the Palestinian people's side in their struggle for their inalienable rights hoping that the Palestinian people will achieve their demands.
He also sent his condolences to families of the Palestinians killed during the Great March of wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded and reiterated the importance of unity and reconciliation between the Palestinian people.
