Hamas leader, Sami Abu Zohri,  responded to U.S. envoy Jason Greenblatt's statements in which he castigated Hamas and the protesters taking part in Freedom Flotilla in Gaza confirming that such remarks come in an attempt to distort the truth and justify the Israeli war crimes.   

In a press release on Wednesday, Abu Zohri stressed that Greenblatt's statements proves that "the U.S. administration is a Zionist government and its job is to back and justify the Israeli aggression."

He added that the Palestinian people are protesting to break the U.S. sponsored siege imposed by the Israeli Occupation noting that the Palestinians killed in Great March of Return were gunned down by U.S. made bullets and weapons.

The Hamas leader pointed out that Greenblatt's statements proves that the U.S. administration is complicit with the Israeli Occupation in its aggression on the Palestinian people stressing that the U.S. stance will not push the Palestinians to surrender or give up their right to defend themselves.
