Member of Hamas Political Bureau Musa Abu Marzouq revealed details of ongoing proposals and talks to ease the siege imposed by Israeli Occupation on Gaza.   

Abu Marzoq confirmed that his movement received some proposals submitted by different parties, which demanded that the situation in Gaza ceases to overcome the current crisis.

He pointed out that one of these parties is the European Union, which tries, along with Egypt, to seek suitable solutions to resolve the key issues in Gaza.  

He noted that the EU announced the allocation of funds to improve the economic situation in Gaza and Egypt vowed to remedy the humanitarian situation through opening the Rafah crossing and providing the coastal enclave with electricity.

"We had previously received many proposals submitted by different parties, but few were implemented on the ground," Abu Marzouq continued referring to a donors' conference, which announced garnering $5 billion to reconstruct Gaza, but many parties didn’t adhere to its commitment except for some Gulf States. 

"The door is still open for all parties to provide Gaza with aid," he continued reiterating the necessity to isolate the humanitarian situation from the political interests, which had repercussions on Palestinians in Gaza. 

The Hamas leader stressed that the Israeli Occupation bears direct responsibility for the deteriorating situation in Gaza.
