Regarding PA government's misleading statements about Gaza

Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas reiterated its total rejection of the statement issued by the Palestinian Authority on Tuesday, which contained terminology that mislead and twisted the facts in a desperate bid to cover its role in aggravating the crisis of the Gaza Strip and weakening the Palestinians' steadfastness and their resistance against the occupation and its schemes. 

The PA government justifies its sanctions on the Palestinians in Gaza, instead of carrying out its duties and its overall responsibility towards the people in the coastal enclave. It must respond to the national voices calling for an end to the punitive measures imposed on Gaza instead of manipulating the Palestinians' feelings, questioning their intentions, trying to distort their calls for the end of the punitive measures, aggravating their sufferings, deepening the rift between them, and enjoy seeing them suffer amidst the continuation of the disgraceful security coordination while the Israeli Occupation perpetrates further terrible crimes against the peaceful protesters demanding their right to return to their homeland and the Israeli-imposed siege on Gaza to be lifted. 

The Movement confirms that it made all necessary concessions and fulfilled its requirements to achieve the national reconciliation and responded positively with all initiatives to achieve this long-sought-after goal while the PA government insists on cutting thousands of civil servants' salaries and ignoring their legal and natural rights in a blatant violation of the basic law, as well as refusing to discuss any solutions for the electricity crisis, the passports, and medical transfers.   

The information provided by the PA statement on what its government provided Gaza with is misleading and fabricated as the deteriorating situations in the coastal enclave have made people aware of the situation, yet the PA still hasn't battered an eyelash, despite gathering $100 million a month from the tax revenues imposed on goods enetring Gaza. 

The PA government's continuous disgraceful policies, which intersect with the Israeli Occupation's and its goals to shatter the unity of the Palestinian people and weaken their steadfastness in the face of 'Deal of the Century', will not succeed in deviating the Palestinian people, who are in an uphill battle against the Israeli-imposed siege and the PA sanctions on Gaza. 

The Movement stresses that it will not shirk its national and moral duty towards the Palestinians in Gaza and side with them, as well as supporting all steps and voices calling for lifting the punitive measures and achieving their rights, the foremost among them is payment of the civil servants' salaries.
