The Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas expressed its regret over bias of the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nicolay Mladenov towards the Israeli Occupation.  

In a press release on Sunday, Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum said, "It's very regrettable that Mr. Mladenov in his briefing at the UN Security Council on the situations in Gaza was completely biased towards the Israeli Occupation at the expense of the Palestinians' rights, injustice and suffering."  

Barhoum confirmed that the UN Special Coordinator flouted the international law in most of the information he provided on the situation in Gaza noting that the occupied people are granted the right to protest, express their opinions, and resist the occupation under the international law.   

He stressed that Mr. Mladenov's position, which is biased towards the Israeli Occupation despite the war crimes it commits against the Palestinians on a daily basis including the Israeli-imposed siege on Gaza for more than 12 years isn’t helping him to fullfil his role as a UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process.   

Barhoum called on Mladenov to reconsider his positions, do justice to the Palestinian people and the victims of the occupation, support them, and respect their legitimate and legal rights instead of claiming to be neutral about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
