The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has received an invitation from Egypt’s Intelligence Service to visit Cairo to discuss a number of issues, including reconciliation talks.

Hamas official Taher al-Nono confirmed that Hamas’ leadership received an invitation to visit Cairo through a phone call from Egypt’s Intelligence Service expressing his Movement’s appreciation of Egypt’s invitation.  

He added that a senior Hamas delegation would travel to Cairo in the coming days to discuss with Egyptian officials several issues, including the internal Palestinian situations and the deteriorating situation in Gaza.
