Oppressing and displacing the Palestinian women and men in Khan al-Ahmar can spark a mass ‘intifada’ uprising in all Palestinian cities and villages, the Hamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum said.
In a press release on Wednesday, Barhoum confirmed that the Israeli Occupation will pay a price for its appalling crime in Khan al-Ahmar, stating that “the Palestinians’ dignity is priceless.”
For his part, Taher al-Nunu, top media advisor for Hamas' political bureau stated on Thursday that this is a crime against humanity, a series of episodes of ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of Palestinians outside their land, and a change in the Arab character of the region.
He pointed out that the scenes of steadfastness and adherence to the land that were recorded during Israeli forces violent crackdown on the citizens of Khan al-Ahmar reflect the reality of the Palestinian will and adherence to their rights. "These scenes also reveal the false claims of the Israeli Occupation of its democracy and freedom and exposes the extent of its racism and that lacks the most basic standards and moral values," he stressed.
Al-Nunu called on the leadership of Hamas to quickly address the ethnic cleansing plans of the Israeli Occupation, calling on the international community and all relevant authorities to intervene urgently to stop this crime and terror practised by the Occupation.
