A senior delegation from the Hamas movement arrived in the Mauritanian capital of Nouakchott in a three-day visit.

The delegation including Osama Hamdan and Sami Abu Zuhri left for Nouakchott to attend the Third Africa-Jerusalem Forum in which dozens of delegations from Africa's civil society organizations supporting the Palestinian cause take part along with a number of Palestinian figures and institutions. 

The Hamas delegation met on Saturday evening chief of Mauritania's ruling party, Sidi Mohammed, to discuss the latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause and highlight the necessity to reinforce the Palestinians' steadfastness in the face of the risks posed to their cause and unify all the Islamic and Arab efforts to counter the dangers caused by the "Deal of the Century". 

The delegation expressed its appreciation to Mauritania's official and popular position towards the Palestinian people and the efforts of its president, Mohammed Abdel Aziz, in support of the Palestinian cause.

Hamas' delegation will also make a series of visits and meetings with the Mauritanian parties and factions.
