A senior delegation from the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas met on Monday the Mauritanian president Mohammed Abdel Aziz in Nouakchott.   

The delegation, including Usamah Hamdan and Sami Abu Zohri, held talks with the Mauritanian president about the situation the Palestinian cause is going through and the 12 year siege imposed by the Israeli Occupation on Gaza. 

The delegation explained to Mauritania’s president the so-called “Deal of the Century” that target the Palestinian cause, including the Palestinians’ rights to Jerusalem and return to their homeland.

The two parties also talked about the efforts exerted to end the internal Palestinian rift, especially Egypt’s efforts in this regard, and the positive atmosphere shown by Hamas towards achieving the national reconciliation.   

The Hamas’ delegation expressed its appreciation to Mauritania’s positions in support of the Palestinian cause.
