Press release regarding Israeli attack on Palestinian worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas strongly condemns the Israeli attack against Palestinian worshipers that took place at Al-Aqsa Mosque Friday afternoon.

Hamas considers the attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque as systemized and dangerous ‘state terror’ that threatens the Islamic and Arab identity of one of Islam's holiest sites and reflects the Israeli Occupation’s extremism and racism and the great extent of oppression inflicted on the Palestinian people, their holy places and their freedom of religion. 

The regional and international silence and the reckless U.S. decisions in support of the extremist Zionist state, which not only poses a threat to Palestine but to the Islamic and Arab nations, prompt the Israeli Occupation to continue attacking and desecrating Al-Aqsa Mosque and assaulting its worshipers on a daily basis. 

Hamas urges all the people of Palestine to resist the occupation and carry out their national duty in defending their lands and Al-Aqsa Mosque against the Israeli aggression. 

Hamas calls on the Islamic and Arab nations and the free people of the world to take immediate action at popular and official levels to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque from being judaized and desecrated and support the Palestinians’ steadfastness in the face of the Israeli Occupation. 

Hamas appeals to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Arab League, the Muslim World League, and all concerned organisations to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Palestinians right of worship and to support the Palestinian people in their struggle against the brutal Israeli Occupation.
