Regarding UNHRC decision to designate commission of inquiry to look into Israeli violations

Hamas highly appreciates the United Nations Human Rights Council's announcement to assign a commission of inquiry into the recent Israeli violations in Occupied Palestine, particularly during the peaceful Great March of Return protests in Gaza.

The Movement regards this as a well-considered and responsible decision to investigate and crack down on the crimes and violations of the Israeli Occupation, which will conclusively bring justice to the people of Palestine, protect the peaceful protesters and lift the oppression and injustice imposed on the besieged Gaza Strip. 

Hamas is ready to facilitate the tasks of the inquiry commission and provide the required evidence and eyewitness accounts to the committee in order to enforce international justice,  promote accountability and expose the reality of the Israeli Occupation.
