In a speech during the meeting, the head of Hamas' political bureau Ismail Haniyeh, said that the Hamas delegation, which arrived in Gaza last Thursday following their meeting with Egyptian officials, will return to the Egyptian capital Cairo, bearing the vision of the movement of all files that have been discussed.
Haniyeh said that the members of the political bureau discussed all the developments surrounding the Palestinian issue during the past week, adding that the delegation will bear the vision of the movement and its perceptions on the national reconciliation and the Israeli-imposed siege on Gaza.
"The US administration's decison to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the transfer of its embassy to Jerusalem, the Great March of Return and the Gaza siege were thoroughly discussed," the Movement's leader noted.
"The regional alliances being formed with the Israeli Occupation aim to integrate Israel into the region and classify the resistance of Palestinians as terrorism", he warned.
Haniyeh revealed that the movement has taken a number of decisions during its discussions, stressing that the Hamas leadership prioritized the national interests over its own. stressing that any plot or conspiracy can only be thwarted when all national parties are unified.
National Reconciliation
For his part, deputy head of the political bureau of the movement Saleh al-Arouri said that the movement is exerting all its efforts into achieving the national reconciliation and breaking the chocking Israeli-imposed siege on Gaza.
Al-Arouri added: "We welcome the reconciliation talks with open arms and are keen to respond to positively to any initiative that aims to achieve unity."
He reiterated the importance of the national unity in being able to confront the Israeli Occupation and the various plots surrounding the just Palestinian cause.
Gaza Siege
Regarding the siege on Gaza, he stressed that the movement is exerting its efforts in all fields, and with all parties within the region, hoping for a solution that will succeed in breaking the siege on the Gaza Strip.
He pointed out that the siege imposed on Gaza is a result of its steadfast population and its ongoing resistance against the Israeli Occupation.
Great March of Return
"The Great March of Return is a way of telling the Israeli Occupation and the international community that we Palestinians are still here resisting and will not give up on their lands or rights", al-Arouri continued.
He described the Marches as a "nightmare" for the Israeli Occupation because it reminds them of the "thieves" they are and praised Gaza for its solid resistance against the occupation, adding: "Gaza will spread its dignity to the rest of Palestine."
Deal of the Century
"We are not worried about Trump's deal, but we have to be united in our position by adhering to our full right to the people of Palestine on this issue, and to stand ready to defend it and not allow any plots on the Palestinian issue to be passed," he said.
He noted that the Palestinian issue is going through a difficult period in the face of serious attempts to liquidate it, stressing that it is a cause that can't be defeated due to its legitimacy.
National Unity
For their part, the Palestinian factions confirmed on the need to achieve national unity on the basis of what was agreed upon in 2011 and what followed, and the rearrangement of the Palestinian house.
The factions thanked the Republic of Egypt for its efforts to achieve Palestinian reconciliation, calling for the need to support these efforts to achieve the file of reconciliation.
They reiterated the continuity of the Great March of Return as a form of popular resistance in the face of the Israeli Occupation until its goals of breaking the siege and regaining the rights of Palestinians are achieved.
