“The ceasefire with the Israeli Occupation is temporary and is meant to improve the Palestinians’ conditions in Gaza,” Hamas’ leader Ghazi Hamad said.
In a press release, Hamad added that the Palestinian people will not abolish the option of resistance against the occupation if a ceasefire was signed.
Hamad also confirmed that the Palestinian resistance will not pay a political price in return.
He noted that the Palestinian factions have not yet agreed on a final formula for the ceasefire stressing that his Movement will not accept the establishment of an independent state in Gaza.
The Hamas’ leader called for ending the Palestinian rift to thwart the Israeli schemes that target the Palestinians’ rights and constants, reiterating his Movement’s willingness to achieve the national reconciliation.
