Press Statement

Hazem Qassem, Hamas spokesperson stated the following: 

The 22nd consecutive Friday of the peaceful Great March of Return is further proof of our people's determination to continue with the popular forms of resistance in spite of all the sacrifices made in order to break the siege on the Gaza Strip and for the citizens to regain their rights.  

This particular Friday has been held to honour the efforts and sacrifices made by the medical staff who are either treating the wounded on the field or those in medical points and hospitals around the Strip working over time to care for the protesters injured by Israeli gunfire. 

The huge role played by the Palestinian journalists in covering the protests also can't be missed and this Friday's protest will be held in honour of their name and those who sacrificed their lives while conveying the message of the Palestinian struggle and the Israeli crimes perpetrated against the indigenous  population of Palestine.
