The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas held a meeting with Islamic Jihad’s leaders to discuss the latest political developments concerning the Palestinian issues, including ways to achieve the national unity, Egypt’s efforts in this regard, and the 2014 ceasefire understandings.    

The two factions talked about the possible means of thwarting the ‘deal of the century’ and its consequences, reaffirming the necessity to continue the Great March of Return and Breaking the Siege demonstrations along the Gaza separation fence. 

The Hamas’ chief in Gaza Yahyia al-Sinwar and his deputy Khalil al-Hayya, along with other Hamas’ leaders attended the meeting in Gaza.

The Islamic Jihad’s delegation, who attended the meeting with Hamas, was headed by the Politburo member Mohammed al-Hindi and consisted of Jamil Elyan, Khalid al-Batsh, Khader Habib, and Ahmed al-Madlal.
