"Decision of President Trump’s administration to stop annual financial funding to UNRWA is a desperate attempt that has failed to abolish Palestinian people’s legitimate rights," member of Hamas Political Bureau Ez’zt al-Rasheq said.    

In a press release, al-Rasheq called on the Arab and Islamic countries and the free people of the world to take a firm position to counter the U.S. administration’s decision to halt all funding to UNRAW urging them to exert more effort to provide alternative and permanent funding sources in order to help UNRWA to continue providing humantarian services to the Palestinian refugees.  

The Hamas’ leader praised stances of all countries which had deplored such an unjust decision and voiced its support to the U.N. body that helps the refugees. 

Al-Rasheq hopes for more efforts to be exerted in support of the Palestinian people who are suffering oppression at the hands of the Israeli Occupation whose leaders utilize the U.S. administration’s biased policies towards the Palestinians as a cover-up for their crimes against the Palestinian civilians.
