A Hamas’ delegation is going to visit Cairo soon to continue discussions pertaining to the national reconciliation and ceasefire with the Israeli Occupation, the member of Hamas Political Bureau Musa Dudeen said.

In a press release, Dudeen added that the movement would make a number of visits to Egypt under the ongoing efforts to achieve the Palestinian reconciliation and lessen the current dire humanitarian conditions in the coastal enclave.

Dudeen confirmed that the heavy responsibility toward the Palestinian cause and shared interests requires all sides to continue exerting efforts to achieve the internal reconciliation.

He noted that some sides had taken a negative stance against the reconciliation, but such a position is not an excuse to halt reconciliation endeavors.

“All the Palestinian factions must have a say on the national reconciliation,” Dudeen added, stressing that his movement is working on this matter in coordination with all factions.

He emphasized that Egypt, along with other sides, vigorously attempts to broker a ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli Occupation and that Hamas had welcomed all efforts in this regard.

He concluded that the Palestinian resistance is trying to pressure the Israeli Occupation to lift its siege on the Gaza Strip noting that the movement is waiting for the results of different sides’ attempts to hammer out a ceasefire with the Israeli Occupation.
